Sub: Online three months Basic Hindi Awareness Course

  The Consulate General of India, Shanghai is pleased to announce that in order to enhance learning opportunities in Hindi language (virtual sessions) to foreign nationals, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) has entered into a tripartite arrangement with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Central Hindi Directorate (CHD) to conduct a 3 month online Hindi Awareness course. The course is scheduled to commence from 17th August (Saturday), 2024. The classes will be held at 16:00 hours (IST) on Saturday and Wednesday, every week. This course is for those with nil or very basic Hindi knowledge.

2. It has been decided to provide the course on subsidized basis to the interested students. The total fee being charged by IGNOU/CHD for the course is ¥ 363.5 per student. Last date of registration and depositing the fees is 28th July, 2024. 

3. Interested participants may send in their registrations for the course on the email ID at info.shanghai@mea.gov.in latest by 28th July, 2024, with complete details such as full name, gender, email, contact number and address. The bank details for depositing the fees will be shared subsequently.

4. The link, username and password for the online classes will be shared before commencement of course. Certificate will be issued by IGNOU on successful completion of the course.
