Launch of 'Make in India' Campaign

 

The Consulate General of India organized a business event this morning to mark the launch of "Make in India" campaign. The event was organized with the support of Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce and CII. There was a keen interest in the event and close to 140 representatives from more than 60 Chinese companies, Chambers of commerce and industry from Shanghai, and Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces, local media and MNCs. There was a wide range of industries including engineering goods, pharmaceuticals, electrical goods, textiles, auto and auto-components, construction groups and investment companies. Recording of Prime Minister Modi's speech to launch the "Make in India" campaign was shown at the event. This was followed by detailed presentation on investment opportunities in India and a round table discussion with industry representatives.
