Indian Film Festival, Hangzhou

 

Consulate General of India, Shanghai organized an Indian Film Festival at Vocational Academy of Art in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province from November 13-16, 2014 in cooperation with Zhejiang Foreign Affairs Office. The opening ceremony on November 13 was saw participation from Consul Digvijay Nath from the CGI side, while Zhejiang Provincial People's Government was represented by Mr Yu Xihua, Vice Director-General, Department of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs and Ms Fu Xiowen of Asian Affairs Division, Department of Foreign Affairs. The opening ceremony was followed by screening of Hindi Film Queen. The movie theater was packed to its full capacity of more than 300 people with all of them being Chinese. The audience keenly appreciated the movie. Other movies screened during the festival were Taare Zameen Par, Jodha Akbar, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
