Interestingly, the participants included, not only children but a large number of adults from the Indian Diaspora, who recited their original poems in Hindi.

4.       Consul General Prakash Gupta while inaugurating the celebrations welcomed the enthusiasm shown by participants and called on every one to make efforts to bring Hindi in usage in daily life as much as possible. He underscored that this was particularly important for Indian children studying abroad, who invariably found themselves in non-Hindi speaking environments.
