Consulate General of India, Shanghai in association with Art Education Center of Fudan University organized "Art of India" show on December 2, 2013. The event comprised Indian music & dance by a troupe Ms Anuradha Sharma & Ms Veena Mardur, Indian artiste-in-residence at Culture Center at Embassy of Inida, Beijing. Other members of the troupe were Ayati Sharma, Tan Lingyan, Gui Xiaodan, Li Mengzhu & Li Chengxi. 

While Ms Anuradha Sharma presented Bharatanatyam & Kathak dances, Veena Mardur gave a demonstration of various kinds of Indian music styles. The audience loved watching Chinese members of the troupe perform Indian dance forms including Santhal dance. 

In addition, Students' Dance troupe of Fudan University presented Chinese folk dance and Chinese classical dance. The interactive session held during the event saw many from the audience trying to learn some of the dance steps.
