The Consulate General of India in Shanghai, in association with SEMI China organized a Road Show on 17th November to highlight the potential opportunities in the Renewable Energy Sector in India. The Seminar was also used to promote "RE-INVEST", the Renewable Energy Global Investor's Meet which is scheduled to be held in Delhi during February 15-17, 2015.

Close to 120 participants including senior representatives of leading Chinese companies in the Renewable Energy sector & potential Chinese investors attended the Road Show. Dr. Parveen Saxena, Advisor, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Government of India and a representative from IREDA also participated in the event.

Dr. Saxena made a detailed presentation highlighting the opportunities available in the Renewable Energy Sector, the incentives that Government of India offers and the potential avenues of cooperation.

The event generated a lot of interest amongst Chinese companies in the Renewable Energy Sector particularly those engaged in solar PV manufacturing.
