Grand Curtain Raiser – 4th International Day of Yoga Celebrations launched in Wuyi (Zhejiang) today – 500 Yoga Lovers welcome the 4^th IDY at iconic Jingyuan Garden

A grand curtain raiser event to launch the celebrations of the 4^th International Day of Yoga (IDY) in the Eastern China Region was jointly organized by Consulate General of India, Shanghai along with Wuyi County People’s Government today. 

2. ​ The curtain raiser event to 4^th IDY was launched at the iconic Jingyuan Garden wherein nearly 500 yoga lovers from Wuyi participated in the Yoga celebrations. The event was attended by Vice Mayor of Wuyi County, Vice Chairman of Wuyi People’s Congress and Vice Chairperson of Wuyi CPPCC, apart from prominent persons and Yoga studios from the region. A number of cultural performances were carried out to mark the inaugural event. 

3. ​ Consulate General of India in Shanghai had arranged through local resources a Chinese speaking Indian Yoga teacher, who conducted the Yoga session for the nearly 500 Yoga practitioners, based on the Common Yoga Protocol prepared by the Department of AYUSH. The event was extremely well received by the large number of Yoga follower community in Wuyi.
