Consulate General of India, Shanghai organized an enthralling evening of Kathak dance performance in city of Wuxi on the evening of 27th January, 2015 as part of 'Glimpses of India Festival' and 'Visit India Year'. The performance was organized with the support of Wuxi Municipal Government, CCPIT Wuxi and Jiangnan University in the auditorium of the University. Vice-Mayor of Wuxi Municipal Government Mr. Pan Jun Qing, Chairman of Wuxi CCPIT, Madam Xu Hui Juan and leaders of Jiangnan University were present for the performance. The dance troupe from Kathak Kendra mesmerized the packed auditorium of more than 1000 local Chinese residents of Wuxi. A live session where the members of the troupe gave demonstration of various steps and beats of Kathak in an interactive session with the audience was also organized. Promotional films from "Incredible India" campaign were shown before the performance to the audience. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful evening of Indian culture.
