Nearly 30 leading companies from Shanghai from sectors like infrastructure, urban transportation, real estate development, power sector and renewable energy participated at the Invest India 2017 business forum.

2. He appreciated the recent steps taken by the Indian government to welcome investments in infrastructure sector and called on Chinese companies to take advantage of the investment opportunities available in India.

4. Consul General Prakash Gupta provided a detailed overview of the overall investment climate in India and shared with Chinese participants the detailed list (in Chinese) of projects available for investments in India. In addition, another detailed presentation was made by Mr. Li Qin, representative of Link Legal, who gave an overview of the regulatory and legal framework that Chinese companies needed to abide by while investing in India. On behalf of CII, another presentation was made by Mr. Madhav Sharma, who gave an overview of the industry and collaborative linkages that CII could offer to Chinese companies.

5. As a follow up, CCPIT Pudong is expected to lead 5-6 companies from the Pudong region, who would be visiting India to explore investment opportunities very soon.
