Hon'ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh visited Shanghai on 16-17 April 2015 as part of his visit to China. He brought a 44-member high-level delegation comprising of senior Ministers, MPs and officials from Andhra Pradesh, and a 29-member strong business contingent from various sectors. In Shanghai, the Chief Minister met with Party Secretary of Shanghai Mr. Han Zheng. During his meeting he briefed Party Secretary Han Zheng on the developing economic opportunities in Andhra Pradesh for Chinese companies and invited Shanghai to take the lead in view of its proven capacity and rapid development. A Business Forum was organized in Shanghai that drew enthusiastic participation from 250 participants companies, chambers and industry associations. The business forum was marked by lively Q&As as the participants posed questions regarding various preferential policies in Andhra Pradesh and the support that can be expected from the State Government in execution of projects, and identifying land and other facilities. Apart from the structured business forums, the APCM separately met with several leading Chinese companies that were broadly positive and reinforced interest of Chinese companies to participate in concrete projects in India.
