India Day celebrated at "All in Print" in Shanghai - 20 October 2016

 

          A 200 member delegation of Indian companies under the banner of All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) participated at the India Day celebrations today, which were organized on the sidelines of China’s largest printing industries exposition – “All in Print 2016” which was held at Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre.

2.       Madam Wang Yanbin, Director General, State Administration of Press, Publication and President of Printing Technology Association of China along with Consul General and President of AIFMP presided over the India Day celebrations.  Prof. Kamal Chopra, President, AIFMP highlighted the growing collaboration between India and Chinese industries in printing technologies and extended an invitation to Chinese printing companies to participate in the PAMEX (India’s oldest exhibition of printing machines and material) which would be held in Mumbai from 18-21 December 2017.

3.       Consul General welcomed the initiative of AIFMP to hold the India Day celebrations on the sidelines of China’s largest printing exposition and urged Chinese companies to take advantage of the ongoing Make in India campaign and scale up investment in advanced printing technologies in India.  A leading Chinese printing machinery company i.e. Shanghai UPG Co. (UP Group) which has earlier partnered with Archies India, is looking to set up two assembly units in South and West India respectively.

4.       It may be noted that AIFMP representing 250,000 printers is the world’s largest printers’ association.  Established in 1953, it is the one and only apex body of Indian printing industry and draws its strength from 72 regional affiliate associations around India. The Indian printing industry is one of the biggest and fastest growing sectors, with more than 250,000 printing presses of small, medium and large scale size with an overall capital investment of over USD 83 billion.
