STUDENTS FROM TAGORE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, DELHI [INDIA] AT 3RD SHANGHAI INTERNTIONAL YOUTH SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY EXPO

 

Tagore International School (TIS), Delhi is participating in the 3rd Shanghai International Youth Science and Technology Expo (SIYSTE) which was inaugurated on July 13, 2010. This is for the first time that an Indian school is participating in the SIYSTE. The first SIYSTE was held in 2005. Five Indian students accompanied by two teachers are participating in the 5-day event from July 13-17, 2010. The TIS has opened a stall in the SIYSTE the theme of which is climate change. The students and the teachers of TIS will be participating in all the five forums during the Expo, which includes Students forum, Teachers forum, Creative Work forum, Interactive forum & Do-it-yourself activity forum. Under the creative work forum, the TIS will display bamboo work to project bamboo as environment friendly, cost-effective and earthquake resistant material for construction of houses. The various forums would enable the students to have fruitful exchanges and learning from each other with focus on communication and innovation. A total 300 students from 16 countries are participating in the third SIYSTE.
