Consulate General of India organized public yoga event at the banks of  picturesque Taihu lake in Wuxi.The event was organized in collaboration with Wuxi chapter of China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Wuxi Sports Bureau and was open to public. Chairperson of the Wuxi CCPIT Ms. Xu Huilan was the chief guest and also participated in the yoga activities. About 800 persons participated in the yoga session. More than 200 other local residents witnessed the event which was covered also by Wuxi TV and local news papers.

Yoga expert Mr. Shinde Chandrakant Gangadhar from India led the event in Wuxi. Mr Shinde, post graduation in Yoga, is currently working as yoga teacher in Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute, Lonavla, Maharashtra.

He frequently delivers lectures, conducts camps and workshops on Yoga as well as conducts yoga seminars. He is also a Yoga examiner for many Institutions and Universities.
