Gold & Jewellery Export promotion Council (GJEPC) organized the 4th edition of India-China Buyer Seller Meet (BSM) in Shanghai on 01-03 December 2010 following the China Diamond Forum, organized by Shanghai Diamond Exchange (SDE) on 30 November- 01 December.

Around 25 jewelry companies from India participated in the BSM. More than 125 Chinese & international buyers visited BSM during 01-03 December with total sales of more than US$ 170000. An India Cultural Evening was organized on 01 December, which was attended by President of SDE Mr. Lin Qiang. Two Chinese dancers performed classical India dance performance & Bollywood numbers in the cultural evening.  

Earlier at the China Diamond Forum, Ex- Chairperson of GJEPC Mr. Vasant Mehta & CEO, Directors of prominent Indian jewelry companies participated in discussions on various related issues and shared their experiences. The Forum was sponsored by major Indian companies such as Rosyblue, Dimexon and KGK Diamonds. The Diamond Forum with the theme of ‘World Diamond Industry: How to enter the New Decade’ was organized by Diamond Association of China (DAC) and Shanghai Diamond Exchange (SDE) and was supported by Ministry of Co0mmerce of PRC & Shanghai Municipal peoples’ Government. All major diamond bourses in the world including that of Antwerp, Johannesburg, Moscow, Dubai & New York participated in the Forum.
