An India-China Tea Sector Business Seminar was organized at the Consulate on 28 March 2012 to create greater awareness about Indian tea for the corporate & individual customers in Eastern China Region. More than 30 representatives of 16 leading Chinese & Multinational Tea & beverage brands including ‘CoCo Tea & Fresh Juice’, President Group, Wahaha Group and Yum! KFC Corp. were present at the Seminar. These 16 companies, which include top 10 back tea consumers in China, altogether run more than 6000 milk tea franchisees in China. From Indian side, Makaibari & Eng. Tea Co. Ltd. did the presentations & conducted Assam Tea appreciation session. Almost all of the companies showed willingness to know more about Indian tea & use it in their milk tea products.
