Consulate General of India, Shanghai organized an evening of Indian Music “Sangeet Sandhya” by Pandit Keshav Talegaonker and Srimati Pratibha Keshav on Friday June 22, 2012 at the Consulate premises. Pandit Keshav Talegaonker is a musicologist and currently ICCR Artiste-in-Residence at the Culture Wing of the Embassy of India, Beijing. Pandit Talegaonker is a singer, composer & musicologist. He has performed extensively in India and abroad, has been recognized at several forums and has won numerous titles and awards. Shrimati Pratibha Keshav, trained in Gwalior Gharana style of singing, is naturally gifted with a melodious voice. The duo presented various forms of Indian music viz. Geet, Ghazal, Bhajans and classical music. The function was very well attended by members of Indian community as well as some students from Shanghai University. The performances were greatly enjoyed by the audience.
