Consul General visit to Yanfeng Automotive Trim Systems, Shanghai

 

  1. Consul General Prakash Gupta visited the premises of Yanfeng Automotive Trim Systems in Shanghai today and interacted with Mr. He Mingkang, General Manager. During the visit, Yanfeng Automotive Trim Systems representatives briefed Consul General on the status of Yanfeng’s India Operations.

 

  1. With a total of 300 employees working at three manufacturing locations in India, Yanfeng is one of the leading interior trim product vendors for automotives in India.  Its main clients include GM, Ford and FCA India with main products being instrument panels, door panels and console. 

 

  1. Yanfeng India registered sales revenue of 550 million rupees in 2015 and has set a target of 3 billion INR for 2018. Presently, Yanfeng has manufacturing plants at Kalol (Gujarat), Sanand (Gujarat) and a tech-cum-manufacturing facility in Pune (Maharashtra).

 

  1. During the visit today, Consul General encouraged Yanfeng to scale up their manufacturing presence in India taking advantage of the Make in India policy initiatives. He also assured them of Consulate’s necessary support in ensuring the success of Yanfeng’s India operations.
