Introductory Session on Goods and Services Tax (GST) organized at CGI Shanghai (13 July 2017)

A detailed briefing session on the advantages that would accrue to potential Chinese investors following the implementation of GST in India, was organized at the Consulate Conference Hall on 13 July afternoon. 

2.      The event was jointly organized by CII in partnership with CGI Shanghai. Mr. Atul Gupta, Partner (Indirect Taxes) from Deloitte made a detailed presentation on GST “One Nation – One Tax” to an audience of nearly 30-40 representatives, which included members of the CII- India Business Forum (China), along with representatives of Chinese companies with business interests in India.  

3.       The presentation was followed by a detailed Q & A session, during which queries of both Indian companies and Chinese companies, pertaining to GST related issues were answered.
