3^rd Meeting of BRICS Communications Ministers held in Hangzhou

(27 – 28 July, 2017)

          The 3^rd Ministerial Meeting of BRICS Communications Ministers was held in Hangzhou from 27 – 28 July. 

2. A four-member delegation led by Minister of State (I/C) Shri Manoj Kumar Sinha, along with Mr. Shashi Ranjan, JS, Shri V Raghunandan, DDG (IR) along with Mr. Nitishwar Kumar, PS to MOS, along with CGI Shanghai officials participated in the meetings. 

3. Mr. Liu Lihua, Vice Minister of Industry & IT from China, presided over the meetings. The other delegations were represented by Mr. Nikolay Nikiforov, Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications (Russia), Dr. Siyabonga Cyprian Cwele, Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services (South Africa), Mr. Andre Muller Borges, Secretary of Telecommunications (Brazil) along with Mr. Zhao Houlin, Secretary General of ITU. 

4. The Ministers adopted the Hangzhou Declaration at the conclusion of the meeting. Copy of the same is placed below.
